Supporting FTIA in national road information system development
The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency’s (FTIA) Velho system was initially implemented during 2017-2022, consisting of a road network master data repository (Tievelho) and a repository for planned and as-built model data (Projektivelho). The system aims to fulfill FTIA’s long-term vision of creating a digital twin for national road data in Finland.
Ubigu started working on the Velho system after it entered its maintenance and continuous development phase (2022-2027). Our task is to provide expert support for the development of the system; we support FTIA and its software development and operation teams
user-oriented development of the Velho system, identifying development topics, prioritizing, defining and substance testing. We provide support in both the development of the system and in matters related to quality assurance.
We work closely with the teams carrying out the technical implementation and help ensure that the functionalities and information content to be developed meet the needs of users.
